Anastasiya P. from Kherson

Due to possible threats to the security of this family, we chose to unpublish the images identifying the family. The family remains under occupation, and truly needs help. Good morning! My name is Anastasiya. I live in the Kherson region. I have 4 children. Maksym is 11 y.o., Vova is 9 y.o., Yevhen is 7 y.o. and the youngest son is 5 y.o. My mother's name is Nataliya. When the war started, we lived with my mother. We heard rocket sounds at night. We were very afraid. Before the war, we had everything - work, money, and social benefits of UAH 20,000. When the war started, things got much worse. We cannot buy many things for children. We can't pay utilities. We currently do not receive any aid, neither humanitarian nor financial. We want to leave the occupation zone and move to a safe place. When the children saw the rockets, they were very scared. My mother started having heart problems. We want to leave. At the moment, we do not have food and money to buy clothes and other necessities for the children. I used to work in the fields. Now work is rare. We receive UAH 200 per day of work. This is not enough to provide for 4 children. I am a single mother. I want everything to be fine in Ukraine. I pray to God that Ukraine will be peaceful, quiet, and safe and that there will be jobs. I pray for our Armed Forces. I want the war to end as soon as possible so that the "osvobobityeli" (in this way ironically call the Russian occupiers in Ukraine - ed.) go to where they came from. I will be very grateful for your help. I want people to be happy and not need anything. I want to have a job and a home, to have everything. Glory to Ukraine!

Olena F. from Kherson

Good morning! I am recording a video from the place where my children and I have been spending the night for many days. Since the beginning of the war, we live not only in an occupied city but also on the second front line. Every day there are explosions and the earth shakes. Before the war, I worked as an employee, I was never afraid of hard work. I always hoped only for myself. Now there is no work at all - neither hard nor easy. I do not receive state assistance. I live without a husband, I have 3 children. Now our old neighbor lives with us too. Therefore, please, if possible, help us.

Nataliya Hryshay from Lyman

We are a family from Lyman. Our house burned down from artillery shelling. My son Andriy is a child with cerebral palsy. He had a high temperature due to the fact that we were sitting without light and gas. He has convulsions. We are now in intensive care, but doctors said they did not have the necessary medication for the child. This is my eldest son. This is a 9-month-old daughter, my husband, grandmother, and me. We all live in the children's regional hospital of Kramatorsk. We need an evacuation because Andriy needs medical help. Good day, we are a family from Lyman the Donetsk region. In the first video you saw us at the hospital. Andriy still has seizures and cramps, fever. We stayed in Kramatorsk for 2 weeks. Unfortunately, our town was wiped off the face of the earth. The house burned down and we have nowhere to return. Now our only goal is to make Andriy better. In the second part of the video, you see Andriy being evacuated from the city of Dnipro to Chisinau (Moldova). We were taken from Kramatorsk to Dnipro on May 17, where we were examined, everything possible was done and we were told that they could not determine the cause of his difficult health condition and that we needed to go to Germany. They will be able to help us there. From Dnipro to Chisinau we drove 12 hours. Andriy had a very hard time with the pain, he had swelling of the face and hands. All the way there were cramps and fever. When we were admitted to the hospital in Kysheniv, the doctors were horrified by his condition, they tried for a long time to cope with the cramps. But it was possible to do it. We came here on June 6, and now on June 8, Andriy looks much better. We are in intensive care. We are waiting for the evacuation to Germany. We will be grateful for any help because everything is difficult for us. The diagnosis is unknown, it is unknown what the treatment will be and how much it will cost. We will be very grateful for your help! Thank you.

Good day! My name is Hanna. I am in the town of Snovsk, the Chernihiv region. I have 2 children. Valeriya (12 y.o.) and Polina (1 y.o.). We remember February 24 very clearly. It was scary. Children find it difficult to tolerate and sleep poorly at night. The sound of a siren frightens us. We don't know where to run. It is not clear what to do. We do not receive assistance. Money is needed for food and medicine. I would like to get the children out of here. So far it has not been possible to take them out. This is Polina, the youngest daughter. This is Valeria, the eldest daughter. She likes to draw. I am divorced, I raise them myself. Please help us.

Snizhana Bayeva from Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi

Good day! We are from Ukraine. My name is Snizhana. These are my children - Oksana, Khrystyna, and Artem. On February 24, when the full-scale war broke out, I was at work, I worked as a sales person in a grocery store. When I went outside at 4:30 am and heard explosions, I thought it was a military exercise. But when I saw the military fleeing near me, I realized that this was the beginning of something very terrible. I was very scared, I started calling everyone. I was most afraid for the children. The next day I was fired. The night shifts were canceled. My husband and I lost our jobs. We live in a rented apartment. We could not leave. We are tired of constantly hiding in the basement to the sound of sirens, children are mentally exhausted. We did not leave the city because we do not have the funds to do so. I receive social benefits of 2100 UAH (~$70), and we live on these funds. We receive humanitarian aid once a month. This is very little for the whole family. We really need help. We believe in our victory. With Ukraine in my heart.
