Hello! My name is Yana, I am 29 y.o. I am a single mother. I have 3 children. Children are 8, 6, and 3 years. The war came to our town on March 10. There was an air strike, many people died, and my children and I lost our house. We are left without means of subsistence. At one point I thought that our high-rise building would not last either and we would die under the rubble.

But thank God we are alive. We moved to another village in the Kharkiv region. It’s enough quiet here. But there are also problems with delays in social payments, humanitarian aid is not delivered here, because our district is occupied and a car with humanitarian aid is not allowed to us. I did not receive help from UNICEF because I do not meet their criteria. It is very difficult for us. With the beginning of the war, life was divided into “before” and “after”. Until March 10, we lived quietly and peacefully, after the 10th we were left on the street with nothing. I want to tell you that half of the people lost their homes because the “Russian world” happens. I am most afraid for the children and that in the village where we are now, there will not be the same air strike. I want to live. I think we will live. Now we have been accommodated in a dormitory, I have to pay for it. People help us, so we are not homeless. I hope that people will respond and help us to live. I do not receive payments from the country due to occupation. I don’t even want the enemy to go through what we went through. I have lived with my children for 29 years and I never thought there would be a time when we would be left with nothing. Humanitarians cannot be brought in. Constant shelling of the city of Kharkiv. I want the world to know how we suffer, how our Ukrainian people suffer, who are not guilty of anything, I want everyone to see the consequences of the “Russian world”. It should not be so, it is impossible.
