Good day! Dear people of the world, I want to tell you about the war in my country. My name is Yana, I am a mother of many children. We are from Kherson. On February 24, in the morning, I heard explosions, it was unlike anything I’ve heard in my life. We guessed that there might be something like that. I have 3 small children – 6-year-old twins and a 5-year-old daughter. Our relatives, who live in the region near the city, offered our family – me and my children and my great-grandmother – to go live with them to be together in these times. It seemed like a good decision at the time, but it wasn’t. Kherson was surrounded and the rashists entered our settlement. Here they deployed their military equipment and began shelling the city of Mykolaiv. We’ve seen it all, we’ve heard it all. At first, we hid in the basement, but then we realized that this was not the best idea, because if the concrete slab fell on us, we would die there. We hid in the house. I covered the children with my body. I thought that I would rather die than they. Then the village began to run out of products, new ones were not brought in. The occupiers blew up the electric station, we lost the electricity. We were taken back to Kherson. That was another story. There we were in captivity. There, people look for food and do not leave the house after 2:00 in the afternoon. We did the same. When I saw footage from the towns of Bucha, Hostomel, and Irpin, I decided to run away with my children. I found a mover who took us out at the cost of our savings. Our journey was under hail, through mined fields, through orc checkpoints. Now we are in Lviv and we need help.
