Viktoriya Mylnykova from Kherson
On February 24, I was in the hospital after an operation. At 5 in the morning, I woke up from explosions in our city of Kherson. I immediately called my parents and said that I needed to pack my things and leave for the Kherson region. We decided that we would be more relaxed near our grandparents. After the war started, I started having panic attacks, I lost control in some situations. It is difficult for me to control myself. I stopped studying at our Kherson medical college. I haven’t seen my classmates for a long time. I can’t work at my job. The worst thing was when the invaders entered our village. They entered our house at 9 in the morning while we were still sleeping. They started searching our house. They started checking our phones. They were looking for information. They interrogated us. I used to work as a permanent makeup artist. We had our salon in Kherson. At the beginning of the war, everything had to be sold to leave the city at any cost. Now we are in Vinnytsya. This was the only moment when we could sell off all the equipment to raise money to leave the city. I am Viktoriya, the eldest daughter, I am 18 years old. I have a younger sister Anya, who is 9 years old. Unfortunately, we do not receive benefits from the state. We once received help from the Red Cross and UNICEF. Now we live in Vinnytsya and rent an apartment here. Help is needed for warm things. We left with one package. Unfortunately, we don’t even have the opportunity to buy clothes. We need money for food and rent. I believe that our Ukraine will rise and prosper very soon. Our Ukrainian people are the strongest nation.
