Yana O. from Tavriysk
Good day. My name is Yana O. Until now I lived in a beautiful town Tavriysk, the Kherson region. The 24th of February was a nightmare for us, we woke up at 5 am to thunderous sounds. At 8 am the russian army entered the town. Since then we have lived in occupation, constantly facing fear for our lives. Before the war came to our home, I was living a happy life working as a teacher and my daughter Sasha was going to the 4th grade. I remember the worst day in my life – when the russian soldiers came to my home threatening me with weapons. At that moment, I realized that we didn’t have any other option but to run away. Doesn’t matter where, we just needed to get out of there! And we made it. Currently, we are staying in Odesa, renting a 1 bedroom apartment. We ran away with one piece of luggage, and now we need blankets, pillows, and other groceries. We believe in our victory, so Kherson and all other occupied cities will get back to normal life.
