On February 24, at 5 a.m., friends called us and asked if we had heard explosions. I went to work and there I heard explosions and saw columns of smoke. I was told that the war had started. Life changed dramatically after February 24, peaceful sleep disappeared. Columns of equipment were moving, planes were flying. It was very difficult to understand that the war had begun. After some time, we were forced to leave our place of permanent residence and move to the territory controlled by Ukraine. The scariest moment since the beginning of the war was when my child and I were leaving through the town of Polohy and came under 2 shellings. Shells were exploding, and a large column of russian military vehicles was driving. It was the worst. Before the war, I worked as a shop assistant. The child lost restful sleep, often cried, and was anxious. Our child is 9 years old, her name is Nastya. We receive help from the state as temporarily displaced persons. We did not receive humanitarian aid from UNICEF and the Red Cross, as we do not meet their criteria. Now we live in Cherkasy, we rent an apartment here. We need financial assistance the most, the money we receive from the state is not enough. We don’t have enough money to rent a house, pay utilities, and have basic needs.
