Good afternoon. My name is Svitlana. I have two children, we are IDPs. When the war came to our place, it was very scary. My children and I packed our things and went to the city. We arrived in the city and started looking for what to do next, where to go, where to live, where to sleep, and what to eat. Volunteers helped us. The worst thing was that we did not know what would happen next, what would happen tomorrow. I was most worried about my children. Many people went abroad, and it is also very scary to go to a foreign land. Now we live in Zaporizhzhia. We hope that the war will end soon. The children reacted badly because they heard the explosions. My daughter, who is two years old, already knows what an explosion is and what a siren is. My daughter is two and a half years old, my son is three months old. Now the three of us live in a rented apartment. I receive social benefits for my children and as an IDP. I need the most help for my son’s treatment. I don’t have enough to pay the rent, and the utility bills, treat my son and buy all kinds of medicines. It is very hard. The thing I’m most afraid of is what will happen next, as I watched Irpin being bombed, Izyum being bombed, what they did to those places, how they mocked people, it’s very scary. I am very afraid that this will not happen here because it is genocide.
