Good morning! We are a family from the Donetsk region. My name is Svitlana. My children: Daryna is 13 years old, Vova is 7 years old, and Danylo is 16 years old. On February 24, when the first explosion rang out, I was going to work. The children woke up. At first, we thought it was a car explosion somewhere. After the messages in the messenger, we understood that the war had come. We didn’t know what to do. From that day on, the children stopped going to school, and we were in the basement every day. I continued to go to work despite the incoming rockets. It was very scary for the children, but I knew we needed money for food. Until the last, I could not dare to go to a foreign city with my children. I didn’t know how we would be in another city without support and help, without work. I worked for 16 years as a housewife in a farmer’s house, his family are very good people, they helped me a lot in life. Now we are in the city of Poltava, we rent an apartment here. I am unemployed. In Poltava, it is very difficult to find a job in my field. It is not always possible to find a part-time job.
– We celebrated Vova’s birthday in the basement.
– We wanted to go outside for a walk, but my mother wouldn’t let us, because there would be nowhere to run if there was rocket fire.
– The children were very scared. It was scary for them and me. When they went to bed, they prayed and asked God to wake up in the morning. We believe and expect that the war will end and we will be able to return home. We believe that we will have our home in Ukraine. We wish everyone peace and goodness. We are grateful to the organizations for the help they provide, for the humanitarian aid. Peace and goodness to all. Everything will be Ukraine!
