Olha Kraynik from Slovyansk
Hello! My name is Olha Kraynik. On February 24, we woke up to shots. We couldn’t believe it. We lived in the town of Slovyansk. Children stopped going to school. The eldest son is studying in college. There was distance learning. I stopped going to work. I worked in the market as a seller, but people started buying only food, no one needed clothes. It is impossible to believe that the war has begun. We lived in Slovyansk for 2 months, then realized that the situation was getting worse and decided to leave. We were driving and didn’t know where to stop. We stayed in the town of Pavlohrad in our acquaintance. An acquaintance’s grandmother lives here, she sheltered us. She is 80 years old. She is a very good person, she sympathized with our situation. We help her in the household and planted a vegetable garden. We only pay her for utilities. Here they help with humanitarian aid and products. We received help from the Red Cross. I want all this to end soon. The oldest thing for me is not to return home. I want to go home, but I enrolled my youngest son in school here just in case. We were accepted. We will be grateful for your help.
