Good afternoon, we are from Kupyansk district of Kharkiv region. On the first day we found ourselves under occupation. We had tanks pass by our village, about 30, I don’t know how many kilometers away, we could hear them very loudly. There were battles every day. Rockets and jets and helicopters were flying through our village. It was very scary, we hardly slept at night. We were constantly running to the cellar, dressed. There was no electricity, no gas, no water. God help us on the ground!
We survived by helping each other in the village, all these six months under occupation. Thank God, everyone is alive and well. After the liberation on September 8, the bombing started, and it was very heavy near us. Our school, cultural club, people’s roofs were bombed, thank God, everyone is alive and well! It was very scary. The children were psychologically traumatized, they even wanted to die, that is, there was no point in life, they wanted their lives to end as soon as possible… It’s very scary for a mom! From the first day, we ran out of income, because we were engaged in agriculture and our entire income was something insignificant at this time, not enough to live on. In November, I was forced to leave for Kharkiv with my children, and my husband stayed at the household. Our children are 13 and 15 years old, and I try to work on myself to have more positive emotions.
I believe that everything will be fine in Ukraine, it will flourish in spite of everything. I wish everyone love in their hearts, peace, kindness and mutual understanding!
