Due to possible threats to the security of this family, we chose to unpublish the images identifying the family. The family remains under occupation, and truly needs help.
Hello! My name is Olena. We are from the Donetsk region, the town of Hirnyk. On February 24, the war began, and we stayed in our hometown. We are now close to the front line. We hope for Ukraine’s victory. There are 4 people in my family, 2 of them are children. Khrystyna is 1 year old, and Hanna is 7 years old. I am currently on maternity leave. We live on the social benefits of UAH 860. Prices have risen. Children are afraid of explosions. It is very scary for children, relatives, and close people. We received nothing from UNICEF and the Red Cross, neither financial aid nor food. This is my daughter Khrystyna. The eldest daughter is currently at her grandmother’s, she went to visit. Humanitarian aid is brought to the town, but unfortunately, I do not always receive it, because sometimes it is not enough for me. First of all, assistance is given to the disabled, the poor, and pensioners. Very difficult. A younger child needs diapers and baby food. Food is also needed. We are waiting for the victory of Ukraine, we hope for the best. We will be grateful for your help. We live in our home. We are not planning to leave yet, we need money for this and in general – we want to live in our hometown with our family and friends. We are waiting for victory and a quiet peaceful time. Thank your project for being you. Thank you!
