Hello! My name is Oleksandra. I am from Mariupol. I have lived in Mariupol all my life. On February 24, when the war started, there was chaos. A few days later we lost electricity, heating, gas, and water. We took water from the spring. We cooked food with neighbors near the entrance of our house, rockets were flying over us, and it was very scary. Children were in the basements at that time. I have 3 children. The worst thing was when the rocket hit the 9-story building where our apartment was. We were afraid that the ceiling would fall on our heads and kill us. The children were scared. At every loud sound, they ran out into the corridor with their things. We left the city in March, it was very scary. We were traveling for 2 days. We moved to Zaporizhzhia and rented a house there. Now we live in the Mykolaiv region. We need money to provide our children and ourselves with warm clothes. We have nothing. I receive social benefits from the state. I also received assistance from UNICEF.
Ukraine is free and independent. Ukraine is a powerful country where I want and plan to stay. I want to continue living here with my children. Most of all I am afraid not to wait for my husband, the father of my children from the war. Thank you for your attention, have a good day, peaceful sky. Everything will be Ukraine!
