Oleksandra from Kherson

$100 of $100 raised

Due to possible threats to the security of this family, we chose to unpublish the images identifying the family. The family remains under occupation, and truly needs help.

Hello everyone! We ask for your help. We are a big family from Kherson. We are now in full occupation. On the 23rd, we were attacked by Russian soldiers, they started shelling the city, as a result of which the bridge was damaged, and our region and the surrounding villages were also destroyed. In our city, there was shelling at first, and several grocery stores and a shopping center were destroyed, now it is quiet, but Russians feel in our city like at home. I have 3 children, Serhiy and Yevhen, they are twins, and the eldest son is Vlad. My husband and I lost our jobs completely, I worked at a private company, and my husband worked at a factory for the production of metal-plastic structures. Now people have no money, so no one makes orders, so we have no work, unfortunately. Humanitarian aid does not come to us because our region is fully occupied. We tried to leave, we passed several checkpoints, but at one we were stopped and not released by the Russians. We stayed overnight in the village, people received us in that village. We spent the night there, in the morning we tried to leave again, but all roads were blocked. We are like in a cage. Prices have risen. We do not want to be in Russia. We don’t know what will happen next, we can’t plan anything. Our city is shot at night. Villages suffer. They try to impose Russian passports on us. We also do not have mobile communication. Ukrainian operators were disconnected. We communicate only through the Internet, but it is now through Russian operators. They offer to connect Russian mobile communications, but we do not want to. We will be grateful for any help, every coin counts. Now I do not receive social benefits, because we are in the occupation and all government services do not work here. Our food supplies are running low. I don’t know what will happen next. We haven’t bought bread for a week. Our family needs a lot of bread, and the price is high. We make homemade bread, we try to survive. We will be very grateful for your help. Glory to Ukraine!
