Good day! My name is Oleksandra. I want to tell you my story. I am from Kharkiv. Until February 24, I was a happy person, I had a friendly family and a husband whom I love and who loves me. We have two children. Before the war, I had two jobs that I liked very much. At 5 am on February 24, we woke up to a loud sound, the explosion was as if from under the ground. I opened the curtain and saw the fire. It was a terrible sticky feeling, it was a huge fear. I understood everything at once. I thought I was ready for war, but I was not ready. I knew about the war from books, I knew that we live next to the aggressor country, and I knew that they wanted to destroy us. I want the whole world to hear that we live next to the aggressor who wants to destroy us, Ukrainians, for 300 years. We evacuated. It was the worst moment of my life. My children were crying, parting with their father. Most of all I was afraid that my language and culture would be taken away from me. I spoke Ukrainian and looked for Ukrainians with my eyes. It was easier for me to understand that I was not alone. Together we can survive. Now I am back from evacuation and we live in Ternopil. Here I am looking for a job, I hope for the best. I believe in our victory. We will survive. Glory to Ukraine!
