Good day! My name is Oksana, I am from Ukraine. I have 3 children: 2 daughters and a son. I raise children myself. The war came to us for the second time. For the first time in 2014, we lived in the Donetsk region near the city of Donetsk. Due to hostilities for the safety of children, we left everything – our housing, studies, and work and moved to the Kharkiv region, the town of Lozova. We started life over. We rented an apartment, found a job, and the children went to school and kindergarten. Everything was fine until February 24. What is all this for us? We did not offend anyone, we lived our beautiful life. We found ourselves in a difficult situation again. It was necessary to leave the town again because an evacuation was announced. There was constant shelling in the town, it was dangerous there. The children were crying and afraid. We decided to leave. We didn’t know where we were going. We arrived at the railway station, boarded the train, and left. The train was going to Lviv. The road was very difficult. In Kyiv, we came under fire. The children were very scared. Thank God, we arrived in Lviv. We went there for 2 days. We arrived in Lviv and were accommodated in a hostel. We still live here. Currently, I do not have a permanent job. Lviv is full of people, locals, and immigrants. It is difficult to find a job. But we do not give up. My eldest daughter is 22 years old. I work as a cleaner. The daughter cleans the dining room. Other children also help as they can: they go to the volunteer center and weave camouflage nets for our soldiers. I would like to ask for your help with my youngest son. My son is allergic, he has to take his medicine all the time. These medicines are very expensive. My son has been taking these medications for all 8 years of his life and he must take them continuously, otherwise, he will develop asthma. At first, volunteers helped us and bought us these medicines, but their resources ran out. I am asking you as a mother, if you are able, please help me with medicine for my son Oleksandr. If you have the opportunity, please help us with food, there is not enough of them. We will be very grateful to you.
We believe in our country, we believe in our army, and everything will be fine. You just have to wait and believe that everything will be fine because good always wins over evil. Thank you very much, goodbye!
