Hello! My name is Nina Vecherkina. I lived in Berdyansk. When the war started, the bombing started, and it was very scary. We were in a bomb shelter. Now Berdyansk is an occupied town. It was very scary to be there, sirens sounded, and explosions began at 4:30 am. The children are scared. I wanted to calm the children, they cried a lot. I have three children. The eldest son is 11 years old, he was most frightened because he understands the most. My other son is 8 years old. I also have a daughter, she is 3 years old. We spent the nights in bomb shelters, then hell began. There were no products in the shops, no money. There was not even bread on the shelves, because the occupiers even occupied our bread factory, which provided us with bread. There were no products at all. We were able to evacuate to Zaporizhzhia. We were on the road for 3 days and slept at checkpoints. It was very scary because we heard the sounds of hail and the shelling of columns, but we still managed to get to Zaporizhzhia. There we were received and fed by volunteers. We calmed down for a week. Then we found out that there was no housing or work in Zaporizhia, so we moved to Kyiv. There are relatives in Kyiv who helped us at first. We are currently renting accommodation, but it is very expensive. I do not receive any help. I need money for food and rent. Thank you.
