Good day! My name is Nataliya. I want to introduce you to our family. This is my husband, son Ilya is 17 years old, daughter Sofia (she is recording video, she is not visible), Evelina is 9 years old, and a child under the care of Denis is 14 years old, granddaughter Karina is 9 years old. Karina’s mother died, and her father remained in the occupied territories.
Our town Orikhiv is small, located close to the front line. The shelling is daily. Too many arrivals (missiles – ed.).
I have a connection with my son, who is still there, and friends who are also there. Gathering almost the whole family, we sat down and drove almost 1,000 kilometers to get here, to a safe town for children. Here in this old car we all 7 people fit and arrived. Before the war, I worked as a cleaner, for Denis I receive social benefits of 6000 UAH per month. I did not receive help from UNICEF or the Red Cross. My eldest son Illya is being examined, he used to have a polyp removed, and now he has difficulty breathing again. We see the future of Ukraine as a free independent rebuilt country. Our Ukraine will be very beautiful. The world must hear and see the abuse and pain of children and adults in Ukraine. If this war is not stopped now, it is unknown what will happen next. I am afraid that the war may spread even further, and tomorrow may not come. I want to go home.
