Nataliya Zabrodska from Kharkiv
Hello! My name is Nataliya. I am from Kharkiv. On February 24, we heard explosions at 3:30 in the morning. We took the children, and the necessary things and left for the Kharkiv region. There we got into the occupation. We stayed there until April 10, we were able to leave when the occupiers were looking for their positions. After that, we moved to Kyiv with relatives. We decided to go to the Cherkasy region because it is the calmest place in Ukraine. I live here with my children. I have a 4-year-old son and a 9-year-old daughter. When we were under occupation, children were very afraid. They are still afraid of sharp sounds. Adults were also scared when a rocket hit a nearby house. We were very worried. We were afraid when the occupiers came to our house, interrogated people, they took some people with them. We do not know what happened to these people, because none of them returned. The time when we were under occupation was the scariest in our lives. The children are now calming down little by little, but they are still afraid of sirens and loud noises. We came here with nothing. We need warm clothes, firewood, and food. I hope that soon we will win and be able to return home. Everything will be Ukraine.
