Hello, my name is Nataliya. I am from Kharkiv, and our family – my husband, me, and three children. the war caught us at home in bed, our eldest son called us and said that we were being shelled. and then we heard the first explosions. It was very scary, we packed our bags, went to another area of Kharkiv, we thought it was more or less safe there, but we were very wrong. we spent two more weeks here and our middle son Lev started stuttering. he spent two weeks in the bathroom without leaving it because he was very afraid. it was decided to leave Kharkiv for another area of Ukraine, and we left our elderly grandmothers here in Kharkiv. Before the war, we took a car loan, started doing repairs, and the war changed everything. we had to pack and leave for the west of Ukraine urgently. we stayed there for a month and a half, then it was decided to return to Kharkiv, but more or less safe area for relatives, because we had very elderly relatives left alone. the younger son began to talk and we returned to Kharkiv. But it did not make things easier, our father-in-law died. there were constant bombardments. we have three wonderful sons, the oldest son at the moment 18, and had to part with him for a year and a half since he was at that time with his mother and they went to another country, we have not seen him for a year and a half. youngest at the moment 13 years, the youngest is 8. Children have a year without school, trying to learn at home. so, we have a little story. I will be very grateful for help and I believe that the war will end soon.
