Good day! A family from the city of Kharkiv is contacting you. I am a mother of 2 minor children. The twin girls are 13 years old, their names are Sofiya and Alina. On February 24, at 5 am, we woke up to explosions. It was very scary because we did not understand what was happening. On this day, our peaceful life ended. On February 26, public transport was suspended in Kharkiv, and shops, banks, pharmacies, and other institutions were closed. Later, only a few shops and pharmacies worked in the area where we live. But to get there, you had to stand in huge lines under fire in the cold. Kharkiv is still in the zone of active hostilities because civilians die every day. You can die at a transport stop, in line for humanitarian aid, a rocket can hit your house. I lost my income and our savings ran out. I do not receive any help from international organizations or our country. We are not a large family and we are not immigrants. We lived in Kharkiv before the war, and we live here now. We decided not to leave our city because our old parents and pets are here. We have no money to move to a safe city. Therefore, I am asking all caring people to help our family. We need money for food, utility bills, and warm clothes for the children. We would greatly appreciate your help for our family. Thank you!
