Nadiya B. from Popasna
Due to possible threats to the security of this family, we chose to unpublish the images identifying the family. The family remains under occupation, and truly needs help.
In 2014, we lived in our hometown of Popasna. The war started, it was very scary for us and the children, we were forced to leave for another town. We left for the town of Svatovo, Luhansk region. We lived in a rented house and raised children. We received benefits from the state. But then, on February 24, 2022, the war came to Svatovo. We sat without benefits for 5 months. Now we are in the occupied town of Svatovo. We have 7 children: Dmytro and Alina are 24 years old each, Snizhana is 13 years old, Maksym is 15 years old, Bohdan is 10 years old, Anastasiya is 4 years old, and Artem is 3 years old. My mother, born in 1944, suffered two strokes. It is very difficult for us. Before that, I worked on the railway and was on maternity leave. It is difficult for us. Something is always flying here. People die all the time. We want to live in a free country where we can live, work, and raise our children in peace.
