Nadiya Salahatska from Okhtyrka
Good day! When the full-scale war began on February 24, I didn’t believe it at first. But I saw with my own eyes how they were shooting at us. Then my children and I started collecting the necessary things – documents, and warm clothes. The youngest son was 7 months old at the time, he was on artificial feeding. The eldest son was 14 years old. For the first 3-4 days, we spent the night in a bomb shelter and were afraid to even go outside. The most terrifying thing was the thought that we would not survive. I was afraid that the children would get sick in the bomb shelter. Older children could eat a sandwich or something, but a small child needed baby formula. We had to prepare baby formula in cold water. It was February then. Fortunately, we survived. God grants that this war will end someday. We did not leave our town of Okhtyrka. We live in a rented apartment. We have no relatives who could help us. The name of the youngest son is Alex, he is 1 year old. Daughter Karolina is 3 years old. Son Mykyta is 6 years old. Son Oleksiy is 9 years old. Son Vladyslav is 15 years old. I received help from the Red Cross. We need your help.
