Hello, my name is Maryna. I have a daughter, Diana, who is 7 years old. I am raising her alone. We live in the Sumy region near the border with the Russian Federation. On February 24, we heard explosions at 5 a.m. At 7 a.m., tanks were already moving through the village. We could not leave because we were surrounded since February 24. At first, it was relatively calm, and then a complete nightmare began for me and my children. Because we were surrounded, the shops were empty and closed. Then our neighborhood was occupied. They were looting, going from house to house, taking food, taking everything. There was no food, the only entrepreneur was baking bread and giving away a loaf of bread. The occupation of the village was not enough for them and they started shooting the village. This nightmare continued in March and April. Then our district was liberated and they were expelled abroad. But the shelling did not stop. We are very afraid. We need money for household needs, to heat the house. The child needs everything to study. I see Ukraine as a powerful country. I believe that my child will stop being afraid of every loud sound. Thank you to everyone who responds, take care of yourself and your families.
