Good evening! We are from Ukraine. We realized that the war had come around 6 in the morning, although we could see the rockets flying. At first, the rockets flew one by one, and at 7:30, 9 rockets arrived. Life has changed: the ground has gone from under our feet, and we have no understanding of what to do and where to run. I will remember the most terrible moment of the war for the rest of my life, and the children will also remember it. The children saw rockets flying by. They did not understand what was happening. They did not want to hear that it was a war. We had to explain to them that war is our new reality. The children were scared, there was horror in their eyes. The youngest child saw the rockets fly by. He fell to the floor and fought hysterically. The middle son was withdrawn, he lay on the bed like a small child or walked around the room. Nothing could be understood from his expression. He had the same expression on his face and horror in his eyes. My children: Serhiy is 8 years old, Dmytro is 10 years old, Oleksandr is 16 years old, Valentyna is 24 years old, she lived in Kyiv, she was repeatedly attacked, we insisted that she go abroad. She wanted us to go too, but my husband, the father of the children has gone to war, I just can’t leave him here. I do not receive benefits from the state. Thanks to the volunteers, we were able to issue medication for my son, he has been disabled since birth. We will issue a disability group, then for sure, I will receive benefits. Also, thanks to volunteers, we live in Zaporizhzhya in a hostel. We are cramped here, but there is a place to sleep, thank God. The most important thing is that we are safe. When we arrived here, the children slept for 3 days. For a long time, they could not get used to extraneous noises, they were afraid of every sound. They did not want to leave the dormitory. The children are now being cared for by a psychologist from the charitable foundation, thank them for that. The world needs to hear that it is very scary and difficult to go through such an experience. I understand everything in my mind, but not in my heart. Innocent people and children die. These are not military objects, these are people. We are simply destroyed so that we do not exist at all. For what? I ask you to close the sky. We need weapons, we will drive these inhumans out of our land ourselves. No one invited them here. They have nothing to do here, let them restore order in their country, there is no need to come to us. Future Ukraine is a prosperous, free, independent, powerful, friendly, and open country. We will rebuild everything. Our country will be even better than it was. I am most afraid of living longer than my children, this is the scariest thing in life. I don’t even want to imagine what the parents who buried their children went through. I’m afraid of it. Thank you.
