Due to possible threats to the security of this family, we chose to unpublish the images identifying the family. The family remains under occupation, and truly needs help.

On February 24, at 5 in the morning, I woke up with my children to the fact that the windows began to shake, planes flew over the house. Then I understood that the war had begun. This is hard to believe right away. There were explosions all around, two rockets fell into my garden. It’s good that I managed to pick up the children and we went down to the basement. It is very scary – to sit and think that the rocket does not get into the basement with the children. The windows were blown out along with the frames from the blast wave. I am a single mother on maternity leave. I have 2 children: Zlata is 1 year old, and Violeta is 5 years old.
Our stores immediately ran out of products. No one wanted to accept payment by card. Now you can withdraw cash from the card at 15%. There was no petrol, gas, there was no way to leave. I am under occupation in the Zaporizhzhia region. Humanitarian aid is not brought to us, because they (volunteers – ed.) do not have access or contact with us. Mothers of the village grouped together and became volunteers. They leave their families and drive to Zaporizhzhia in their own transport. There is nowhere to buy diapers here, when you have to hide in the basement, there is no way without them. We spend money on gas and wait months for help to arrive.
