Good afternoon, my name is Kateryna, this is my son Vova, he recently turned 5 years old. On February 24, I was on sick leave with my son. In the morning, my husband called, he is a military man, and said that the war had started. I didn’t immediately understand that it was true, that this was happening to us and my country… But when I went outside, I was sure of it. Because I heard very loud explosions from the city of Mariupol, which is 200 kilometers away, but these were very loud, muffled explosions. It was very scary, all the people were scared, no one understood anything. But it happened to us… Since February 24, my son and I have never been home. The house that is no longer there, about which my son constantly asks me who really wants to go home, because he was born there, grew up all his three years there. I worked there as a kindergarten teacher, which also no longer exists. In principle, there are no more villages there. It is very difficult to understand that your country is suffering now, from the country of the aggressor and all that property, this is the least we can lose. We are losing a lot of people now, these people are innocent people, they don’t want this war! Since February 24, we have been a forcibly displaced family that has been wandering around the country. We visited all the cities where we had not been before. I don’t understand now whether it’s fortunate or unfortunate. And now again, we moved to the city of Dnipro. We live in a rented apartment. We are going through a tough time right now, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I am currently unemployed. We really hope that all this horror with us and our country will end soon. It will become easier and better for us. I really want to thank you, all the people who help our country, our military. I really want to ask all of you not to stop, because now it is very difficult for people, not because they have lost their property or their houses, but it is very difficult for everyone to see what is happening in our country. The fact that people die in our country, first of all children, who are not guilty of anything. Thank you very much for all your support, for sheltering our people in your countries and helping them! I really want to ask you to call on your countries, your people, to help free our boys from captivity! Our close friend is there now, his family is waiting for him at home, his daughter, who remembers her father every day and is waiting for him at home. Thank you very much for your attention and help! Everything will be Ukraine! Glory to Ukraine!
