Iryna Normamatova from Kharkiv
I am Hordiy’s mother, he is 1.5 years old. On February 24, 2022, our neighborhood was the first to suffer. We lived in Kharkiv. We woke up from the first explosions and were shocked and scared. In half an hour I packed my child’s things. We moved to the Poltava region, where we rented a house. A few days after we moved, we learned that the russian army had destroyed my apartment. All our life, all our things were left there. We need money for the child’s treatment and hygiene products, and clothes for the child. The world needs to know that russia is an aggressor state, it did not come to “liberate” us, it is simply killing us. They are not who they want to show themselves to be, they are aggressors who have come to someone else’s territory. I see the future of our country as follows: mothers with children walking on playgrounds, old people sitting quietly on a bench, and us sleeping peacefully in our sleep. The world will be proud of us because good always triumphs over evil.
