Good day! My name is Iryna. I have a daughter Amina, she is 1 year old. When the war started on February 24, panic began in our town, people started running to the shops, buying up all the food. There were long queues at ATMs, people understood that soon they would not be able to withdraw money from their cards. Panic began in the town. On February 24, we did not immediately leave the town, because the explosions could be heard, but they were far away. In March-April, shelling intensified. Somewhere at the end of March, a shell fell not far from our house. It was the scariest moment. I was very scared, put the child on the floor and covered her with my body. Then I woke up in the morning and decided to leave the town. Now my town is not occupied, it is controlled by Ukraine, but it is constantly shelled, 80% of the town is destroyed, there are destroyed houses, my house is completely destroyed, there are no windows or doors. We do not know if we will be able to return home. On February 9, the child turned one year old. On February 24, she could not understand that the war had begun. She heard gunfire, but she didn’t know what it was. The child is still young to understand this. We moved to Kryvyi Rih, it’s calmer here, the shots are here rarely. The child is fine here.
