We left Tokmak on April 8th. On February 24, a new life began for us, because a full-scale war came to our home, to our country. On February 25, the occupiers were already in our town. Our guys defended our town, but there were more occupiers. Planes were flying. Explosions were heard. It was hard to listen to. For six days we were without electricity and water, we slept in the basement. When it got a little quieter, we slept in the bathroom. The children were very scared. It was a huge burden on their psyche. Our town is still occupied. My husband stayed there, I left with my children. My children are 5 and 21 years old. Before the war, I lost my job. Most of all we need help to pay rent. I have postoperative rehabilitation and need medicine. I have not yet received the results of the biopsy. I had a cyst removed. We want to return home to see my husband alive and unscathed because he could not leave. I want to see a prosperous country. It is very difficult to know what they are doing in the occupied territories because they are not human. They do not treat us like humans. When I spoke to my husband, he said that the occupiers were threatening to destroy the cars of those who wanted to leave the town. They intimidate people so that people cannot leave the town. I was recently able to receive social benefits from the country as a displaced person. I did not receive anything from international organizations, although I left applications.
