On February 24, we woke up at 6 am to the sound of shots. We read in the news that the war had begun. I gathered my family in half an hour, we took some things in the car, and left Mariupol.

I understood that if Mariupol was surrounded, it would be the worst thing to stay in the occupation. All pro-Ukrainian people there (under occupation) are being killed. So I had no doubt. It was necessary to evacuate immediately. Took all the most valuable – family and cat. And we went to the west of Ukraine. There, friends found us an apartment in Zakarpattya. It was a temporary house, now we are looking for permanent housing. We choose without different cities. In Mariupol, we had a big apartment and a business. Everything was destroyed and looted.

I had a travel company and a shop selling cell phones and accessories. All this was looted. The shop itself was destroyed by artillery. Another department store in Melitopol is also under occupation, also looted. It’s hard to lose everything, but we start from scratch. We hope everything will be fine. The main thing is that the Ukrainian army wins.
