Good morning! I am a citizen of Ukraine. I live in the small town of Skadovsk, the Kherson region. Now our town is under occupation. I have 2 children. The eldest son Denys is 6 years old, and the younger son Artem is 3 years old. This year, in the autumn, Artem was supposed to go to kindergarten, and Denys to school, to the first grade. But, unfortunately, this will not happen, because the war has started. Russian troops are everywhere in our town. It’s very scary, especially when planes fly overhead and you don’t know whether a plane (missile) will fall on your house or not. When the war started, everyone was scared, especially the children. Because of this, our eldest son started having speech problems, and, unfortunately, there is no specialist in speech therapy. But we support him, we talk often, and we watch educational cartoons so that he can be distracted somehow. The younger son hardly understands what war is. The eldest son is very worried, he began to sleep very badly. We hope that soon everything will be fine, that everything will be as before. We have a resort town, people will come to us again to rest. It will be fun, and children’s laughter will be heard. We believe that soon all this will be over. I receive social assistance from the state, but these funds are not enough, because prices have risen a lot. We hope for your help and support, and we hope that soon all this will be over and our children will be happy.
