Hello, my name is Hanna, I’m from the town of Oleshky. It is currently an occupied territory. When the war came, we were one of the first places where the occupiers entered our territory.
It was very scary, my child and I stayed in a bomb shelter for four days because of the terrible battles for Antonivskiy Bridge, when they were breaking through to Kherson. My daughter is 8 years old, and we were under occupation for 10 months. We left in December 2022. There was a lot of shooting, the Russians went from house to house, demanding that people change their passports to Russian ones, that children be enrolled in a Russian school, and if parents refused, they threatened that the board of trustees would come and take the child away. They would be evacuated to the territory of Russia and it is not known what will happen to the child. That’s how they scared us, and in December they started shelling the city. There was an air raid near our house, it was damaged.
So we left through Europe and came to the city of Odesa. We are currently renting an apartment.
I don’t work because I have no one to leave my child with. She studies online. The child is scared, she has seen the war, so I can’t leave her, she is scared.
Please help me, because it is difficult at the moment. Thank you!
