Good afternoon. My name is Hanna Dudnyk. I lived in Kherson before the war and worked there. On February 22, I came to my parents’ house in the village of Afanasievka, Mykolaiv region, to stay for a while, and I stayed here. We lived for 8 months under occupation. We decided to stay here because this is our homeland. Wherever we traveled, we always wanted to go home, even when we lived in Kherson, we were always drawn to our parents. To our parents’ house, to our home.
The russian occupiers mocked us here. When they decided to leave our village, when our Armed Forces liberated the town of Snihurivka, they took our car and a lot of equipment. As our people say… They burned us and bombed us, they didn’t take anything, our Ukrainian people, they decided to drown us!
Because of the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, our house was flooded, the walls were destroyed, some of the remaining appliances were destroyed, furniture was destroyed, almost everything, we threw everything away because it all had a bad smell. When we were flooded, I was nine months pregnant. Now my son is 4 months old, we have to rent a small house because it is impossible to live in our house. We made only one room where my parents live. … It’s hard to talk about it….
If you have the opportunity, please help us, we would like to buy some appliances and furniture, we want to return to our parents’ house. I want my son to live in his parents’ house like he lives in a rented house, it’s not the same.
Please, if you have the opportunity, help us. Thank you for being such an organization. Please, if you have the opportunity, help us. Thank you for being an organization that helps people. We believe in our victory! Glory to Ukraine! Thank you.
