Good day! My name is Hanna Shevchuk. I am from the town of Kamyanske, the Dnipro region. This is my son Dmytro. I am a single mother. I have been disabled since childhood, and I have vision problems. I receive a pension from the state. Now, unfortunately, I’ve lost my job, I can’t work. I worked in a children’s entertainment center as an operator. We had to completely change our lives at the beginning of the war. It is difficult to talk about this because it is not clear to me how there can be war in the 21st century. I do not receive help from the state, the Red Cross, or UNICEF. When the war came to the town, it was very scary. I immediately called my mother. My mother has cancer. I don’t have a father, he died, unfortunately. Mom lives 600 km from the Dnipro region. We found ourselves in a difficult financial situation. If you can help, we would greatly appreciate it. The war completely changed our lives, we lost our jobs and our children lost education. All my child’s friends have gone abroad or to other cities. We lost everything. We are shocked. Every time we hear a siren or explosions, it’s very scary. I am afraid that the war can start somewhere, it is very scary when a child hears sirens and starts to cry and get nervous. We do not sleep at night. Constant sirens. Of course, I’m worried.
