Good afternoon, we are IDPs from the Kherson region. We lived in the Kherson region before the war, in the village of Otrada-Kamianka near the hydroelectric power station. It was a nice village, we had a job, planned our lives, but on 24 February everything changed.

We were occupied right from the morning, the first battle started near the hydroelectric power station, we were sitting in the cold basement for 7 days, the children did not eat anything because they were stressed, they only drank sedatives. Then came the occupation, it was hard, there was no bread, nothing. For the first three months, we were not allowed to leave the village and nothing was allowed to come to us. But, thank God, we got through it all. I lived with my mother and two children. I am a single mother. After 7 months of occupation, we left, first my mother and my eldest daughter, we went to Lviv region, then I left because it was expensive to leave all together. Because no one was taking us for free.

We came here, rented an apartment, and now we live here. I thought that we would go home in the spring because it was already de-occupied, but we are on the first line of the frontline there, because there are still hostilities, the village is gone, there is no house, and the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station was blown up.
