Good evening! My name is Anastasiya. We are a family of IDPs who suffered as a result of russia’s military aggression against Ukraine. I have two children, the youngest is 2 years old. We used to live in the village of Verkhnyotoretske, Donetsk region. For more than 8 years, our village was a “gray zone”, a demarcation zone. Our village was often shelled. We got used to it, but on February 24, everything changed. A new stage of the war began, and we were not ready for it. The worst started when the planes started flying. There was a loud noise. When the children heard it for the first time, they fell to the ground and started crying, it was hard to calm them down. The shelling was getting stronger, so we gathered the most necessary things and went to our relatives, it was safe there. We stayed there until the end of the summer, but the shelling started there as well. We moved to Dnipro. Because of the war, we lost everything – our jobs, belongings, and home. Recently I was sent a photo of our house… Until the last moment, I believed we would have a place to return to, but we have nowhere to go. I am asking for help to pay for rent, utilities, and food. It is very difficult in another city. I hope that soon we will be able to find a job and earn money for our needs, but now we need help.
