Good morning! My name is Anastasiya. I am 31 years old. I am married, and I have 3 children. My children are 7, 5, and 3 years old. When the war started, we woke up to explosions. On February 25, on my birthday, my husband and I planned to go on vacation to Greece, this dream of mine was about to come true. But the war canceled everything. We fled to the village, then we lived in Uzhhorod for 2 months, and we volunteered. Then we returned to Kyiv. The worst thing is that I lost a relative in the war. My uncle died in Makariv. He gave his life during the defense of Kyiv.
I was on maternity leave before the war. Now I can’t go to work, because kindergartens and schools are closed now. The husband works as a trainer in equestrian sports. Children are afraid of sirens, but overcome this stress in the form of play. They play a game “war” and experience all these moments in the form of a game. They are afraid of explosions. We received benefits from the state when we lived in Uzhhorod. Now we don’t get anything. We received help from UNICEF and thanks to this help we were able to pay rent. Now we live in Kyiv, we rent an apartment here. It is very difficult now. We need financial help the most. I dream that the war ends, that we win this war, that we prove to the whole world that good can defeat evil, that there is justice, and that God is just. I want my children not to live in fear. I am most afraid of losing loved ones.
