Hello! I am a single mother of 2 children. The youngest child is 1 year old, the eldest daughter is 2 years old. We are from the city of Kharkiv and woke up in the morning from powerful explosions. We could not even imagine that the war had begun. We hid in our basement. We have not displaced persons, we are hiding in basements. We lived in the basement for 2 months. We slept in our outer clothes so that if something happened, we could just get up and run. It was winter outside, it was cold, and there was frost. We lived in a cold basement. I brought a cradle there for the younger child. For the eldest daughter, they found the back seat of the car, where she slept. I slept on the floor. That’s how we lived. We are still being shelled. During the sirens, we hide in the basement and sit there because there is no other way out. We don’t want to leave. I have 2 small children, it is difficult to go on the road and look for housing. When we wanted to leave, they just started shelling the station. I decided to stay in the basement for our safety. We are still hiding, we still hear sirens and explosions. This happens every day since February 24. Our city of Kharkiv is under constant shelling. We are hiding. Such is the story.
