$100 of $100 raised

Natalya Lendel from Odesa

When the war started, I was very scared. Then my sister went to buy food. My mother went to collect things for the basement. Dad wanted us to go abroad, but we didn't want to, because it's our home country, we were born there. We told Dad we didn't want to. Then we collected things and food there (in the basement - ed.). Then there was an alarm and we went down to the basement and ate there.

Olha Shyika from Mariupol

Hello! Our family is from Mariupol. We are immigrants from Donetsk. We have lived in Mariupol since 2019. We have two children. Our apartment was shot at from tanks. Two shells flew into our bedroom and children's room. The projectile also hit our hall. Thank God we survived. After another month and a half, we lived in another house nearby, and we hid there from the shelling. We took the boy of our neighbors with us. All his relatives died in the basement. Together we fled from Mariupol. We have nothing left, only children and a dog.

Maryna Sheliya from Dokuchayevsk

Good night! I record videos without children because they are already asleep. My name is Maryna. We are immigrants. We live in the city of Kharkiv. On February 24, at 4 o'clock, they called me from Kyiv and told me that Kharkiv was being bombed. I couldn't believe it, I tried to turn on the TV, but the channels didn't work anymore. I looked on the internet about what was happening and started packing my clothes and documents. I knew what I should take because in 2015 I also fled the Russian aggression from the Donetsk region, the town of Dokuchayevsk. Now it is the territory of the self-proclaimed republic of the DPR. We rent housing. We lived in basements and hid. It is difficult to describe everything that is happening. We believe in victory.

Alina Kravchenko from Chernihiv

Hello! My name is Alina. I am a single mother. I have 4 children. The oldest child Ariana is 10 years old. Ilona is 7 years old. Mark is 4 years old and the youngest daughter is 1 year old. What can I say about war? War is always painful. It's when you go to sleep and say "goodbye" to your children like the last time. I want the world to hear my message: help us to stop this war! It's very scary. My children are frightened. We never know if we will wake up in the morning. We know nothing about our future. We want our Ukraine to prosper.

Rockets flew over our heads. Planes were flying. We slept at night dressed because if they shot at night, we could immediately escape to the basement. We also slept in the basement. We have moved to another town now, but we are still scared. Every loud sound sounds like an explosion for us. We think that war may also break out in the town where we are now. We do not want a war here. We want to return home and we want peace.
