Join Us We Need Your Help
Good day! Our family is from Mariupol. We would like to ask for your help because it is very difficult for us. We were left with nothing and everything needs to be rebuilt. The glass on the car was completely broken after the air strike.
This is at least some kind of repair if only to insert glass. We were in Mariupol when the military of the Russian Federation attacked us. We never thought that this would happen in the 21st century, that we would be attacked and people, apartments, and children would be beaten. I went down to the basement together with my husband and our whole family. We were very lucky that we went down there because if we hadn’t gone down there that day, we would have died in the apartment.
We were usually in the corridor according to the “two walls” rule, but the airstrike was just from that side and we would have just been hit by the door. I saw bloodied people and children running out of our house, it was very scary.
My children were constantly in the basement, in the dark, and could not tell whether it was day or night. My 4-year-old son asked me: “Mom, is it day or night?” Sometimes it happened that we could not go outside to prepare food for 3 days. A man risked his life and went out, trying to prepare something to eat. Once we started cooking soup, neither the soup nor the people standing by the fire. A mine flew and killed them, and my husband also could die. We were in the basement for about 3 weeks, we brought with us a cat that we found. We took it with us, the children are not so scared with it. Before all this, my father and husband had a family business, a service station, a cafe, and a car wash. We were left with nothing. Everything remained in the occupied territory. Something was completely destroyed and looted, one apartment was completely burned, another one without windows, doors, without anything. We want to turn to the whole world and say that it’s enough. Stop the war. Children should not suffer and people should not die. Every day someone dies. This is intolerable. Ukraine must win, because this is our state, our territory, free us, our military, from this nightmare. Thank you!
